Firk with boobs. Why?

And in the preview of another we have seen another pair of pretty perfect boobies on these green creatures.


Question to the devs (and possibly artists) is why do they have them? Is there any lore that supports them having these bodily attributes?
To just make it clear that this thing is the female part?
Do Firk only grow boobs when they need to nurture their young? I always pictured them as egg laying things. Amphibians more or less.
Or was it just a thing that someone wanted to have because it was a wild fantasy?

(on a related sidenote Boghoppers dont have boobs.)

 

IS and FS got together, things got wild, and boom, firks appeared! Barbarian + Boghopper = Firk. duh....

Well I think is for the appeal of the game. Look at Nefari Messenger, that lonx, dryad etc etc...

 

I also do not understand why the boghoppers have boobs. Being amphibians. Or salamans for that matter.

And why do we need to be able to tell the gender of them apart? It is completely irrelevant to gameplay.

btw if you ever read firk lore or realized in the runes....firk have no young. Seeing how they are mysterious and connected to gekaal (the bog who became one with nora) I have a feeling firk are born from nora and just come out as adults.
