   Hmm, i'll pay attention next time I use it but I can't recall melee units getting damaged when hitting my Crystal Dragon.

   Yup not working, just tested it and melee units were not getting damaged.

   Looks like the issue is that the damage shield from Flame/Frost Armor is actually reduced by DEF.
   
   The Gnark here did not take damage when he had his base 2 DEF, but when I reduced it to 0 he took 2 damage as expected.
