Font gen working as intended or not?

Based on previous testing and this information, here's a best-guess at the rotation ordering, starting when the active player 1 clicks "End Turn":

Timer swaps to other player 2
EoT effects
Map-innate nora generation (from fonts and shrines)
Font control check
BoT effects
(I think AP Gen happens here, but can't be sure. It might be part of the BoT triggers)
Other player 2 gains command control of units

 

WAI. Backing off a font for positional purposes gives your opponent enough of an advantage. I've won many games by backing off and giving a font away when someone out-drew me. As I say If they also gained nora it would probably tip it over to too much of an advantage, especially in the early game.

 

Wait, does contesting an opposing font then not prevent them from genning nora from it on their next turn?
