I think it'd be beneficial to allow users to embed video's and livestreams to the pox forums, on the old forums I was able to stream and have users watching from the thread. If there is already a way to do this, can you let me know?
I don't believe you can easily do it with twitch, but I think you might be able to use youtube streams However, you can use the button in the screenshot to see what media you can embed
Yeah, you can only do it with Youtube, Facebook, Liveleak, Dailymotion, Metacafe, and Vimeo. I'm not sure if this forum would allow a full iframe embed.
I guess I guess its a question for whoever controls the forums, is it possible to add twitch to the list?
another suggestion would be to bring back pox related avatars and probably change some colors of forums in general.
You can take screenshots of your own PoxNora icons and make them into an avatar relatively easily I think, just needs to be 200x200 pixels, and if it is later, the forum automatically resizes it to scale to fit. It seems the XenForo forums might be able to allow streams given certain addons, hrm… I'll see if there is a way to get around it with what we have at the moment.
you see, the problem is a bit different here. I could change my avatar, but this is not what I meant... the entire community is using random avatars and the feeling/look of it seems very cold. colors do it as well and DOG are terrible at using colors as far as I understand! if you want a proof, go to their VoidRim forums and see how you like blue and green mix. Pox forums are better than Void Rims colorwise, but they still could be much cooler.
That would be truly awesome! I made my avatar by screenshotting the pox rune and cropping, and i love it.
