BROTHERS, OUR TIME HAS COME! OUR FACTION THRIVES. CHAMPIONS ARE FAR MORE ACCESSIBLE AND RUNABLE NOW THAN EVER. IT IS TIME TO GRAB OUR TORCHES AND SCORCH THE RANKED FIELD WITH UNREASONABLE HATRED!!! FOR BLOOD AND FIRE, LETS CONQUEST THIS GAME!
He's looking a lot more reasonable now. As a question, has his damage gone down a bit? Not that I'm complaining, but I could have sworn it used to be 17.
Very disappointing, in my opinion. I thought he was fine at 109 considering the price of other champions at his power level. Running him at 94 (or even 90, lolz) seems too low. I'll have to check out what happened to Menalaus and the rest, though.
Honest and good opinion as always, bud. The rest of the heroes pretty much received the same treatment, imagine having to battle an under 90 nora Juya, or an 80 nora Euan.
Yeah, I'm looking at the comparable heroes of other factions right now. So you can run Menalaus for 94, as well, if you take the two cheaper upgrades. (I would, if I played KF) You can run Juya for 86 with Piercing Shot 1, that's pretty nuts. Serkan is 96, but you have to skip out on Defensive Strike. Kind of a big upgrade. 102 otherwise. That's a little more fair. You can run Kartch for 84, which kind of boggles the mind. So all in all, looks like the "power range" heroes did get similar cost decreases. Kind of upset that ranged powerhouses were buffed, the game was a lot more fun the past two weeks without them...
Oh me too, but would you rather have 100+ Mena with Heal Mass, or a 7-range powerhouse for 94? I'd pick 94 any day. I think "abysmal" is pretty harsh - but what I meant by more fair is that his cost is what I think his peers should cost as well.
You're probably right - I guess I just prefer to pay a bit more and get an ability I might actually use. I know, but Speed 6 is still hurting him badly (with Teleport costing 4 AP), and he still lacks any relevant connection to Liches (which is pretty bad for the "Lich Master"). Saying that, I think the new pricing is definitely a step in the right direction.
Yeah I think a few things are to low now. Those being powerful ranged champs. And champs with miltiple stacked synergys. (Ie def + high health+ good aditional defenses like though or heals) This is very knee jerk though so I really need to play test to see if my opinion changes
I have couple of conjectures. My first one is that the Owl guys, being smarter than any of us, RE-designed this game to offer diverse, less repetitive options to react to different threats. In that aspect, Mogas are strong even without abbilities, and racial debuff (G'hern bound) simply because of numbers. Then, there is us, we are slightly more expensive to summon, but our champs are all specialist (in melee mostly) but with affordable devastating skills (anything sacrifice) that is an advantage in our favour. Should I remind you which spell ST fears the most? Then...we have Prot factions with expensive champions, which also get plenty of extra, EXPENSIVE, benefits to try match a bunch of little dudes which will keep swarming due to cost gap. So, as our fellow veterans said, it all comes to skill and BG building in regards of how to handle diverse situation. And to admit there are others were we will simply have a disadvantage most of the times. The Second one is that SOE were a bunch of mentally challenged morons with no idea about what were they doing.
My to low comment was more a game wide statement. This is a problem on the high and low end. But we knew this would take a few patches to mostly dial in. Also im not sure of less repetitive but its simpler (number of abilities) and thats a good thing.
He's technically got 1 nora cheaper with the most recent patch, but I more meant that with the revamp he went from being a poor-man's grimlic to being a more melee wizard.
Ah, I see. I thought the OP meant the recent patch had made him useless. Honestly, range 1-3 doesn't seem too bad to me. On the one hand, it means he's closer to the enemy but, on the other hand, he gets a larger bonus to damage. And, whilst he can hardly be called 'tanky' he doesn't seem any more vulnerable than, say, a Demon Lich.
