... there is an API? Somehow I was sure that PoxBox just parses data from the site and does the whole trading by pretending to be a user. When I had too much free time at work I tried to get a server to log on the website and parse rune information from the checklist just to see if I could get it done with little to no background knowledge. I actually managed to get the server to log in as me using cURL and to navigate to the checklist. I didn't get much further than that because the rune lists wouldn't load for the server. Probably cause it knew no java or because I didn't know how to accurately produce a session cookie on said server. Also I wouldn't buy any of the books linked in this thread. There are tons of documentations online that are well written and more accurate than the books could ever be. Places to start at could be.. http://www.w3schools.com/ http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/ https://wiki.python.org/moin/BeginnersGuide There are tons of youtube videos to all of the subjects if you want a more user friendly entry to the subject. Also http://stackoverflow.com/ Though I think the really tough part is figuring out what you actually do have to know to get it done.. I wouldn't have considered python to be relevant for example, but perhaps it is?
There is just an information feed for the runes that has been extended in a way better format than it used to be! But there is no API that allows you to bid or make trades etc.

I would also love to make a site like Decondors. Who wouldn't? I don't have any skills at the moment but I've enrolled in a Python class at Coursera: https://www.coursera.org/course/interactivepython1. The end goal of the class is to program a simple Asteroid clone, and the class is only 5 weeks long. Well there is a part 2 to the course and we might get the Asteroid game done then, I'm not sure. Anyway I thought it was pretty badass and you should check it out if you're interested. Oh yeah, I don't have any delusion about being able to do what Decondor's doing anytime soon, but baby steps!
I can do site with auto trading... however what is the point if no runes to trade (... you also need a lot of runes that ppl will willing to trade...
