Tried to leave Florida Monday and Tuesday, was not going to leave my Mom. My Mom is 65 and she did not want to leave what family she has left here. (Brothers and sisters.) Gas is out along the intern states, all flights are booked. Did not fly out, so now we have a wait it out. At this point I realize death by a category 5, or the aftermath of the hurricane is natural selection. I am not scared, I was given plenty of time to leave and realistically I chose this. I am at peace with this decision. I did successfully complete architecture school, I did get a job right out of school and even started working toward my license.
