I felt a swelling of Dutch/European pride listening to Geert Wilder's Speech to Turkey

I idly wonder if Erdogan has started accusing Netherlands and Germany etc. of interfering in their political processes (by denying government representatives access to lobby a potential voting block) yet; and use that as an excuse to ban those votes from counting (unless they are mostly for him I suppose) or something.

(Or just feel free to ignore this minor attempt to salvage this wrecked and largely pointless thread and continue as you were.)

you can steal it. but that does not make it yours. it belongs to whomever was awarded them.

my grandfather and grandmother are members of the order of Orange-Nassau but that does not mean anyone else is. that belongs to them and them alone.

can you get a better picture of the medals I think your granddad got shafted divvying up the loot.

it's what my granddad did for the allies too, which is why im assuming he got them. he drove the jeeps. he was in france for D-Day +3.

 

Also, NSKK were recruited into the war, they weren't just instructors. But they were just transports, not combat.

that is why I asked for a better pic of the medals because imperial germany has like a dozen countries worth of medals in it. and Nzi germany tried very hard to make everything medally all the time everywhere!
