more importantly do you count mallets among hammerkind, what about wooden war mallets, what about wooden war mallets with iron spikes trough them? or do these belong to the mace or proto-mace class ?

 

The big freaking war mallets in Kingdoms of Amalur (which was based on a true story I'm told) are called Hammers so I think they count.
