Ah you think the rain is your ally? You merely adopted the rain. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the sun until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but a teletubbies character!
You are lucky too, here its semi-biblical rainstorm or sidewalk-egg-frying heat. Just as an example, it has started raining again 5 days ago. Every single day there were blackouts, and after every rain you could see trees fell down. Back when I was a kid my mom had to go under the rain to pick up the thrash from the manhole so the water wouldn't flood into our house(which, due to an amazing engineering work is below the street's level). After asphalt came its all joy though, sometimes. Oh yea, and lightning, every 5 seconds.
