In your version, Death Charged 3 is on base allowing the option of Deploy Charged 2 as an upgrade with base 7 SPD (8 w/Frost Amped!).

In my version, you must pick Death Charged 3, Deploy Charged 2 or Race Charged with base 6 SPD.

With everything Frost Amped grants, I would ignore the +1 SPD (base 6 vs 7) and Frost Aura 3 (not melee) to focus on the +2 DMG/DEF he would get in my version. I don't consider that as problematic as something like Surge or Melee Specialist because choosing to run it actively cuts into his nora gen at -1 charge per turn. Also, using Unleash Memories instantly turns off Frost Amped. Depending on what's happening at that point in the match and which charge ability you've chosen, his likelihood to quickly regain charges could be very low.

It seems like the biggest problem is he gains charges too quickly resulting in unusually easy nora gen. Yes, this is in addition to decent combat performance, but what I've read suggests you're most concerned with nerfing his ability to generate large amounts of nora. With that in mind, let's cut charge generation roughly in half by forcing a choice. Splitting up Frost Amped and Unleash Memories while leaving the nora gen unchanged (other than dropping Deploy Charged a rank) doesn't accomplish what I currently understand to be your goal.

yes if you went for double charged methods on my build you'd get to amp super fast and likely never lose it, but if you went just death charged you'd get to amped status super fast and likely never lose it so I don't see the problem....if you want to use an upgrade to hit amped possibly a round sooner seems fine to me. as for the speed, 8 speed units are not an issue so long as it's not on the first turn of the game, which this unit would not be able to do.

just because ready won't be on arctic doesn't mean 8 speed units will disappear from the game, and without unleash memories I could focus on making him a stronger combat unit for yetis should you wish to take that route. again i'm not concerned with his nora gen if he's not an amazing fighting unit, unleash to me is a fine ability and you definitely pay for it, but when was the last time you saw a nora miner take out a dwarf king 1 v 1, or 2 keepers completely prevent your opponent from playing anything for 2 turns while netting you 100 nora, and killing three of his champs.

Support the claim that you pay fairly for unleash memories. Poxbase claims that it costs 6 Nora, both on Keeper and the FS witch.

seems your right....I swear when I looked up that ability it was significantly higher.

I use geddens ability pricing list.

well even adjusting the cost of the ability( already being done ) won't really change much, balancing champs on cost rarely has much effect, it usually results in a champ that costs too much to be played but when someone does it's as broken as ever.

not a good target to aim for when balancing a champ.

This isn't really a nerf its more of a rework and which yetis need buffs in ur opinion?

part of reworking yeti's requires keeper to not be as much of a mary sue as he is.

yeti ambusher-fat slow low damage high nora (because of snow trap)
    apostate-fine/a little op
avalancher-i dont even have to say anything
beserker-beserker champs usually either run in rip stuff up and die or have some sort of defense, he's in the awkward middle where he doesnt rip and he has the cost of a higher tier beserker
conq-2x2 champs are just fat and hard to move, i dont know what to do about him, base speed 7?
    cub-fine i guess
    curate-fine
druid-5 speed no damage curate heals better and divert is meh on hp tanks like yetis not a viable magical damage option
icelord-i'd like calcify instead of charge but hes usable
scout-he shatters and detects, other than that he's just meat
shaman-low damage low range no defense, not a very viable magical option
sorc-it's basically a blank champ with magical and frost attack for ~70 nora
spirit-either give back ghost or give all other ghosts the thing that makes them go corp/incorp every other turn or give him a attack
tracker-same problem as ambusher but instead of fat, he's higher costed

going to delay the keeper nerf to next patch, I need to do a secondary beast nerf so keeper is off the hook for now

it'll be good anyway because then i can bring up a yeti at the same time

So we are having a balance patch soon after all?

soon is a relative term, I don't know when it will hit but we've been working on the next patch since the day after the last one hit.

the keeper was the last thing on my list to be finalized before we wait for gedden feedback, and i'm bumping it for a beast nerf, since meat spam is more of an issue atm.

Though you received some imput on what to focus on, seems like it's a council concern and I agree, if Gedden doesn't balance things out, you should push over it.

well as with the last patch I did a little for several themes, the main nerfes are to beasts, I have a slightly different opinion to most of the other council members on how to address themes, most of them want to hit 5 runes in a theme and bring that theme into playability, I prefer to give 1 or 2 runes to a theme and judge the new power level, and then address them again.

it let's me address their power level gradually and see how the themes are doing, and although it's not quick and some changes may be confusing I do have a flexible long term plan, hopefully I will get to achieve that before being removed.
