Name Changes

Will we be able to change our in game names when we transfer? Seeing as how right now we have 3 usernames for the same game something has to change correct? I would like the option to change my name. That is all =)

Either how, I feel like your username ingame/forums should be the same for practical reasons. Like blizzard with their half fusioned client

How will the profile migration work? I am already anxious at the thought.

I think it will send an email to the address in the station account
and then how it will be linked to the pox username?

 

I do not understand how it will be associated the (let me say) desertowlgames account with the poxusername!

 

Poxnora accounts are probably only linked to an SOE account, so all they have to do is unlink it and link it to DOG. You don't really need to worry about how it will go down, since these guys are professionals, so most information should transfer with next to no effort on our parts.

 

I changed my forum name, but now I have no claim on Pyro the Patient

 

So I can calm down... but I am impatient/tormented for nature =)

 

Once transferred, we should be able to choose a new username (or even be forced to use the one we chose when registering on these forums), update our password and e-mail.
Nevertheless, I agree that namechanging our IGN would be more than appreciated.
I also don't agree with having a different forum name and a different IGN. Esp since those 2 will be linked AFAIK.

 

I don't believe that the forums and the PoxNora accounts will be linked.

From what I saw, I just expected the PoxNora account to be imported, username and all. The accounts we have here on this forum, are just for this forum.

 

Although I hope that's not the case, I fear you may be right.

 

- Yeah I have the same fear. So people will be stealing in game names for forum tags not to mention other limitless ways to troll forums that come with alts etc.

 

Not sure where i read it, but accounts WILL be connected in time, they are just too busy with pox transition at the moment.

So I want to address this. Your pox username will be the username you log in with for sure. When we transition, the forums will not have SSO capability (aka it will be a different account). We really wanted to get SSO working right out of the gate but it was not in the cards -- Its very possible to do but it will take a little time to do properly, and with the fun features we want.
