As a player who mains various "I have no melee BG's" I have to say i'm in favour of the more restrictive range imposed upon my champions following the revamp, it has forced me to build counters into my BG as opposed to simply moving away and then clicking for the kill. While I would support the argument that ranges need to be more inclusive on certain champions I would argue that with the horrendous stripping away of anti-range abilities over many champions means that more restrictive ranges are a necessary balancing tool and moves us away from the old ideology of a ranged champion being powerful at ranged AND able to function near melee. On an individual rune basis sure I can see the merit of adjusting some ranges, overall however I feel the change is effective and well thought out.
