I know we can't forge legendaries. But might it be an option to allow Sacrificing them? It would also give a reason to show legendaries in the forge.
why would you ever want to sacrifice something that will never be available again, ever ever ever? The trade value is much higher than anything you can do on the forge.
This still stands as a point. IMO Leggies shouldn't be decraftable, to keep them going in trade circulation.
By "available" you mean that there's a 10% chance that an exotic could be a Legendary? If so, you're guaranteed that Rare... 10% chance you'll get an Exo, and 1% chance of getting a Legendary. Trade value far exceeds any rational crafting value.
Yep, it's 5% that the Legendary is included as an extra rune in a pack. And, as others have already mentioned, sacrificing Legs would just be a nono. Just think, all those sharks destroying the cheap legs to up their value. As far as exo values go, it will be quite reasonable to acquire cheap exos and transmute them into more expensive/better ones.
Gotcha! Fair enough... even with that, anything that has a rarity of a 5% chance of appearing should not generally be destroyable
Except there is nothing like a "cheap exo" now. It's either core set exotic worth 1/10 of any other exotic, or extended worth 3/10 of any other one. Even the dreaded Forge Hammer is worth 1/10 of a Sheoul Magus.
