So Blizzard anounced an expansion for Hearthsone...

...and every other card featured in the preview has a random effect. Firk you too, Blizzard.

 

They finally stepped up their art.

 

I don't play HS much anymore pretty much because it is a meaningless randomfest.

 

Not really anything there to get me playing again.

 

I still havent gotten around to getting the first expansion, now theres another coming...

 

I don't know what they were injecting when they designed these, but here's some more new cards. They have the pretension of calling HS an esport and yet they make even more RNG based cards. At least they could throw lore characters from the WarCraft world.

 

Never understood why anybody would play this over Pox

 

There are some reasons actually:
It has a huge playerbase so you'll never have to wait in que for an opponent. It's popular - the game has a cult on Twitch and there are many tournaments where you can even earn money from. It has an easy learn curve and doesn't punish mistakes that often. Games are also faster. It's basically free; I've never spent a cent on the game and I have almost all the cards - I've played a lot of arenas though. And it's from Blizzard - I played a lot of WC3 back when I was a kid and I loved the lore and the characters; many are featured in HS.

 

basically it boils down to the blizzard brand and the ease of accessability

maybe we should try to get blizzard to make a pox clone

 

Pox and HS have as much in common as Magic and Warhammer : not a whole lot.

im still grinding a pack a day in HS. just cuz its easy and fun and quick. the key to enjoying HS is the squelch button. it makes a world of difference.
