It also causes Grounded. So it's actially just like the Entangle ability rather than only causing Ensnared. In my opinion, Grounding makes the spell worth running so I'd rather see the description updated than the effect.
Weird, I've used this quite a lot. I've cliffed voil with it over chasms which definitely wasn't a mistake. I'll retest with screenshots.
Maybe Ensared does something initially that causes Grounded for a brief moment. I will make a note to dig deeper.
