why repurpose works but not gore explosion?

 

That is a good question.

 

I don't know. The wording is inconsistent. Sac/retri and repurpose all say sacrifice champ, goresplosion and throw bones both say destroy champ, and one from each actually works. I'm guessing that, despite inconsistent wording, repurpose isn't coded as sacrificing, but as destroying and the opposite with goresplosion.

 

Probably Gore explosion is bugged, but it triggers bile zombie's bile explosion, so there's that
