Note: this is an old thread and some runes have changed since I made it. This thread is designed as a resource for UD players. It is a list of sample battlegroups which are run by the high ranked players in UD. It is also a place for people of any rank to share their decks, though I will only include high limited league decks in this post, as it gives an impression of the meta viable stuff. On deck building: Firstly I have to say that there is no one right way to design a battlegroup, everybody has a slightly different style and so everyone's decks should be tailored to what works for them, and to what they enjoy -- which is incredibly important in itself, but also because people tend to concentrate better and therefore win more when they are having fun. So above everything, run what makes you happy. That out of the way, there are clearly some runes, and some combinations of runes that are stronger than others. Their are also synergistic spells like 'arthropod frenzy'. my mino bg almost same as agirgis only i don' t use blast doors @badgerale i hope you are going to add antirange BG i am using it atm i want to see how close i am to the meta
Agirgis has one up there, I run one too which is pretty similar, though probably not as good, so I didn't post it. I want to track down yourmom who had a cool fire deck a while ago, or anyone else running fire towards the top half of limited. If you see anyone get them to send me their deck.
@badgerale made a imp bg , you were right , its pretty damn fun. Better then meta? i can't tell, but its good
Added @RasielCZ 's meta deck. This is proving an interesting insight, as while there are some common champs - nefari schemers being maybe the most common - there is a lot in variation in the top meta decks. Rubbishing the forum 'wisdom' holding that meta decks are all the same.
this is great. one thing that leaps out is champ number some of you using a lot less than others whilst rasielcz barely running any spells. thanks @badgerale
guys I made this psychic bg, been doing pretty good plenty of 1-3 range so a mindslicer would do well in place of bloodstained claws. Probably another void spider in place of goblin if you're not poor.
after playing around some more, decided to take out the soultap w/e relic and replace with mindslicer. Also replacing blood claws with a demolish. Still wish I had another void spider to replace that goblin though
i took a break from other factions and played a few UD games this weekend, in my meta bg i replaced summoner for x1 lower beast of shoeul. This is to counter the new Nora-gen meta.
I like the agirgis deep elves one, was kinda hoping to run something similar,what if I can add 2 angels of pain, what would I replace them with ? and are they worth it, or is there any LEG that are more practical and competitive/Important for UD in General (so far only UD I tried was spiders, which did not go all well, maybe because I do not know how to play it right, and The Deep Elves one which always felt like it missed something) and are Vosthair Ire-guards auto if I'm including Angels also the Mindlsicer boomerang is kind of a weird and unwieldy spell, I'd replace that with more direct damage like fire blast having 2 maddening echoes is something I wrestle and find myself in conflict with any ideas ?
