Yes Pretty much, but remember I said approximately 3 months, so it could be like 3 months 2 weeks. This is just to give all of you a general idea of what will happen.
I'd much prefer we vote again at that time. I have nothing against Lushiris, but I don't support this decision primarily because a lot can and will happen in 3 months.
Ideally we would have an election every time, but the down time for the elections would negatively affect how fast we can put out updates and patches. We are doing what works best for the current development cycle for the game. Once things settle down and stabilize more we can look into doing a more regular formal process. Also, this was an odd case where the votes tied, and this would be a fair way for both winners to have a chance.
We will be addressing the other factions as well, but we also don't want to completely change everyone at the same time because that would disrupt too disruptive.
This post is a little old but wouldn't it be easier to launch the elections before the current player serving a term times runs out.
With the current patch scheduled there is more than enough time, but in most cases we would hold the elections before the existing council member is removed due to term limits. There are just those unexpected situations when someone steps down unexpectedly and such.
