weighty> light as a feather?

so I was doing a skirm using plants,
and was wondering how this would work since champ with weighty gains lumbering after moving 3 spaces.
so I cast LaF using willowind on patriarch , then move patriarch 3 spaces, he gains lumbering, 2 ap per
move,,, but he also has an icon that states he has light as a feather for 6 turns. so does weighty overide LaF since it took effect after,, or is this a game issue? was wondering if anyone had any thoughts..
