SOE had the nice dark background color (this one is more grey), and the portraits that seemed to wisp into existence out of the black. They had that really nice Poxnora logo up top. Everything is organized & centered well, and they have a Di-chromatic color scheme that feels very tasteful with the border as you scroll down. This forum has too many colors going on with it (blue, yellow, green, grey, white, black), and none of them are really tasteful shades. Nothing is centered either, with text flying off wildly to the right of the screen. Didn't DoG buy the awesome forum design with the game? It would be a shame if they didn't. No offense to DoG, but the SOE forums looked really professional, with a lot of thought put into the design; and this one seems rather slapped together in comparison, with no sense of what it wants to convey.
Just got here, and I must say I'm liking the new format of these forums. It feels very sleek and professional. Great job with the design. The excess of colors is necessary, I feel, for giving it a bright, exuberant tone to contrast with the dark grey of the background. They definitely stand out, and it's a good thing.
One thing that I personally would like is the ability to alter the number of posts per page, though not quite sure again if that is something that these forums can do.
Regarding design, I always recommend looking at MWO forums as a great example. They have great color scheme, fonts, header, info panels, and only several faction avatars.
The PoxNora Logo at the top of the forum is not loading for me and is showing me broken picture link icon.
will I still be able to buy poxnora vouchers in stores(not online) in Australia when desert owl games takes over?
Sigh. Why even compare the two. One forums was run by a multi million dollar company and this one is made by a newly formed 5 man team..
