What is the max amount of exp you can have?

I'm at 1600, and quite honestly, ive never seen it higher than that

I've seen 2000-something, when Princeleaf played (and mostly won) 100-someodd games on a rank-reset day.

I don't think there is a cap, obviously the more players there is, the higher it'll go
