Indeed it is and it will be my supreme pleasure to do so very soon! I'm also overdue to write a review on Fireoak and add something about the Fuel theme... I'll add that the tree theme is 100% craftable as well. I guess being shunned when it comes to Legendaries has its advantages. Some deck updates would also be nice. The ones I have up there are seriously dated.
Cant wait to see the update. Also hows about adding a FS-PLANT/KF-tree snippet. Oh an Woodmarshal and the SL plant aswell
I tried Elven Treecaller with Timber Wolves, hoping the three wolves would each trigger Ripple. Alas, for some reason, Ripple doesn't even trigger once?
Very excited for the update you have planned! I made sure to purchase some of the Exos I'll need for this deck before the switch. I'd love to see some update sample decks uploaded to poxbase. Thank you for all your hard work!
I have a single question regarding the treefolks - are they supposed to keep the bonus 10 HP they get from "Take Root" whenever they uproot? I noticed that Gnarlwood Lifegiver kept its bonus HP after uprooting, when I'd played Grimlic's Descent campaign. Also are they supposed not to regain 'Take Root" after uprooting?
Both of those things have been that way since Uproot was added, so I'll assume it's all "working as intended." Keeping the health bonus is nice because it allows you to uproot a dying tree without committing suicide. Not regaining the ability seems fair enough. Guide Update / To Do List: I will be updating the guide slowly. If anyone views it in the meantime, the light brown text are the parts that have been rewritten (or approved as needing no revision). I'll use this post to keep notes on what needs adding/changing. Fireoak review / Update image Woodmarshal entry/review Subsection on Fuel decks Specifics concerning Take Root Update Treecaller image and entry Update example decks using PoxBase Mention the theme's accessibility Player Participation: Everyone feel free to make suggestions, point out what's missing or should be included. Also, post links to your own treedecks on PoxBase if you like. I tend to build according to my own strict criteria, so including other people's decks might provide a more rounded view of treedeck building. I also encourage players to use this thread as a hub for the discussion of anything treefolk/plant related.
Nice guide Gorebucket,I am still new to this game but started with a tree deck and am still practicing with them.So far am really loving my oakthumpers and run 2 and also the fireoaks are really nasty running 2 of those also. They can in most cases teleport and still get in 2 attacks which I can see being useful against melee to keep your opponent limited to one attack to your 2 with thier 4 range you could bounce around a font keeping 4 spaces between you and most likely win with the 2 to 1 attack advantage.Have yet to try the overgrowth out but am going to give it a shot.Only thing I can see you left out is the Catharsis bloom. It fits the theme and unlike most relics it comes into play shadowspawned and heals 8 hp plus it replicates itself after so many turns. Also like that you added some possible includes that dont fit the theme but might want to try them. The one you suggested with the starlight sylph has me intrigued and am tempted to try it.Too bad she only has 39 hp and has no melee protection like majestic herself or even teleport would have been awesome on her.Seems so fragile for a Exo. Her only defense is the upgrade to do 5 dmg to attacking range. But the artwork on the rune is phenomenal.
Here's a couple of decks I've had some fun with. They're far from perfect, but I enjoy them. Treefolk http://poxbase.com/#!/deck/C7IC9zc3Hc3AcaTc6FCaWCaYCgWck9coQs6Ns6Os8ws1_s2ts6gs6Br2YR1drUeWe2ue1t I have a weakness for anything that lets me play with the tanglefoot. The rejuvination ring will let one heal up a surprising amount of damage in one turn, unless you are facing a lot of anti-healing. Nature's connection on the spikewoods adds even more haling and can benefit anything friendly in range. The lone WotW is out of theme, but between sunder, grant teleport and relocate foe (or relocate relic to drag the greenhouses around) he's just too good a utility champ not to include. I need to get around to forging a K'thun and stuffing him in there somewhere. There is a lack of detection, so trading something out for a grimlic's eye might not be a bad idea. Mixed Treefolk + Devotee http://poxbase.com/#!/deck/c7Ic9zcj...Wck9cjms1-s6Ns6Os1as8ws2ts6BR1drUr2Je31e2ue1t This one I'm still working on, but it isn't a bad start, though a lot more expensive than a basic treefolk bg. The premise is.. Forest Fire Woodmarshal channels fuel on saplings to buff devotees, which treefolk can gain through the source crystal, and, barring a really bad draw, some of the devotees can pick up Race: Treefolk from the vinetouch and benefit from the boost treefolk units. Two somewhat opposing modules working to buff each other. Further tinkering is still needed though.
Not forgotten, just letting the kinks get ironed out and dealing with summer classes. Did find time to tinker with new images for each entry. Here's a preview:
I added Dragonbark and spent a fair bit of time today applying new images and updating text. Things are still messy but its starting to look a lot better. This will be the best incarnation yet when its finally done.
How important would you say Oakthumper and Spikewood are to a Tree deck? At first glance you can make a nice budget(ish) deck without the two previously mentioned runes, or perhaps just one Oakthumper. Edit: was looking at building something like this http://poxbase.com/deck/C7MC7Ic5AC3HC3AcaTc6FcaWCaYcuxC6HS6NS1as7Ts4Ks6Br2YR1drUeWe2w
EDIT: If the theme is one of those reviewed/updated in the future (as mentioned elsewhere), I will put forth the time and energy to bring the guide in line with the changes... It wouldn't be worthwhile to do it now (not that I have much free time this semester anyway).
when did wood elemental lose domain vegetation? I'm like 103% sure he used to have it. Would of been awesome with woodchucks
He was simplified along with all the other champs in the game in the DoG acquisition revamp (we're going to have to start naming these revamps at some point). The changes were very positive and I'm especially pleased with Patriarch's revised state. Now it's time to play some games then update the guide.
Men I thing weight is a nerf. I liked lethargic on him more. Trees already ha so many fail turn one deploys. Also I played him as support tank. So he did not need the damage.but the cost reduction is nice I guess from 78 to 72
