Basamati is the best rice. It doesn't have the unpleasant flavor of brown rice, and is more porous than long grain rice, so it absorbs flavors even better. 1.252 billion Indians can't be wrong.
I had rice the other day, topped with sardines marinated in a spicy tomato and pepper sauce and wrapped in freshly harvested lettuce leaves with a little bit of butter, salt, and ground black pepper. Was good.
