What's up. Faith has brought @Markoth, @DMrBadguy, @kalasle and @myself together to do some writing on Pox Analysis. We'd be interested in writing about subjects of YOUR choice. We don't really now where this is going yet, but we'll find out along the way. For now, we want your opinion! What would you like to see analysis on? Please elaborate on why you chose what you did and what you expect of the writing! Thanks
I feel like deckbuilding is a mostly lost art at this point, it may help some of these noobs to know some of the actual work behind good deckbuilding.
I would love to know all the board control/ strategy that you chess pros have in the back of your head going at all times. What sets you out from the others skill wise? If you and i had exact same deck and draws why would you win.
i think board control is what lets me down most of the time, playing UD doesn't help with this. would like some input about what you think about in terms of when to go all in. I have generally found i win more when i make them attack me but theres a fine line between baiting and overstretching on which i would appreciate your sagely input...
tambien...what did you mean by match ups? I presume this is SL vs UD etc? what might be quite interesting also is which chamos to deploy against others, no idea how this would be done but I would watch it with abandon...
That's like the easiest part of the game. You check what works, ignore 90% of the useless stuff and tech 1 or 2 things in there.
Yeah, sort of what you said -- looking at one specific deck against another, or looking at how one deck fairs against a variety of opponents; talking about win chances, why it is good or bad, and how to play it: what targets do you focus? What should you do or not do? That stuff.
I voted positioning. What would really help is some idea on how to deal with ranged campers. When people sit back and wait, with their ranged death preparing for that power turn. I know it's coming. And yet... AND YET... I still get stung by it like a baby chasing rattle snakes.
Voted matchups because some people don't even recognize that this is a significant part of what determines what is good in certain metas.
