Medal table: https://www.olympic.org/pyeongchang-2018/results/en/general/medal-standings.htm Cmon Canada you can do better, also damn you GERMANS! fun fact the Netherlands did better in 1 hour of the winter olympics than Belgium has done in the past 94 years. @BurnPyro explain?
Canada will catch up when some of the events from later this week arrive. I hear they are particularly skilled in things like Downhill Backwards Moose Racing and Tree Milking
My favorite is the igloo building event. Watching those sleek, icy blocks slide into place, it's almost like playing Tetris with ice cubes.
Canada Sure did climb up a bunch eh? how aboot that. ... US you're slipping try to keep up. DAMN YOU GERMANS!
One of the Silver medals of Norway was won by a 22 year old guy from the city I live in, which is pretty cool.
Same season people here observe good pox players or why streams are getting popular. Its fun to watch skill competitions.
and "sport verbroederd" literally "sport makes us brothers" I don't actually damn the Germans that's just our 'thing' like the Danes have a thing where:
that just reflects badly on the Americans. nearly crushed my tulips and dropped my cheese when I fell out of my clogs at my windmill when I heard that.
Germany still in the lead Norway WHYYYYYY Netherlands still up there thanks to speed skating followed by the US ( seems to do well in snowboarding) and Canada
A lot of these sports are won by any nation who cares enough to spend money on it. Like going down an ice tunnel backwards while lying intimately on a friend competition. Or maybe I'm just upset that Britain is so Bane Shift at the Winter Olympics. Even Australia is better than us, and they wouldn't even know what snow looks like if it wasn't for pictures.
I personally find the Eskimo Olympics to be more aligned to the original spirit of the games. Particularly ear wrestling and pencil jumping.
congrats to Norway, Germany and Canade for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. US 4th and i'm satisfied with the Netherlands on 5th.
