They do, one needs a ranged attack to trigger and the other a melee attack.

Or you mean an icon stating a champ is Blocking or Dodging? because they do, or at least with Command: Block affected champs have the condition "blocking"

Exactly, Command: Block gives the condition but Block doesn't. Seems a bit inconsistent to me and would help knowing if triggered already or not. One less thing to memorize!

The condition is hidden to the opponent. There should be a condition you can see if it is your unit called "Blocking" or "Dodging"
