Im curious how people handle deflect champs 1v1. Personally i just go head on with them and take the damage...but i see other methods all the time. Im just curious what are some other strategies?
If I cannot redirect it, I'll try to either direct it to a unit with Combat Awareness(takes zero dmg) or place a relic. My BGs don't often feature this but champions with immunity or resistance to the type of dmg or type of attack (arrow eater) to be deflected are also a good option. You can also think ahead and position summons/fodder to take the dmg. Lastly, even at top levels people usually do not target - deflect allowing me to clear it with a weak attack such as a PoV or similar.
The most common trick if you can't prevent the damage yourself (such as from combat awareness or deflect) is to use a relic or summon to soak up the damage, as was mentioned above. If you have other champions, you may still want to attack with the weakest one first.
I use any illusions or summons I have as a first resort, if that's not available I try to use a less damaging attack like mudsling or something to proc it.
Why not crash their game so you win right away? And later post a thread about how the server is lagging and there has to be 5 hour downtime. But of course then it becomes a 10 hour downtime. Seems like a better idea...
the way corpse got away from playing me was to make me laugh by hacking the game so much, and then put up a fq worked like a charm #ain'tevenmad
