If you can get your hands on them, Hammerfall Lonx or Lonx Icelord are cheaper slot options than the Titan, that'll likely do as much or more work.

Its a matter of damage vs melee tank really. Hammerfall can really dish it out. Especially with some built up Fast Friends. Icelord can hold the line very well against melee.
