This happened a few minutes ago: Had to Fortify... ... eventually Transfigured, and the awesomeness of seeing a humble Skitter evolving into its Alpha form... ... but eventually died to the unseen forces of my enemy. WTF.

I know that if you observe a game before it has fully loaded this happens for observers. Not certain how it would happen for a player.
On a totally different note, different skins for Avatars for $ would probably be a good source of income, I feel. I mean, who wouldnt want a skittershrine?
I have to agree, I would totally pay 5$ to change my shrine into any rune of the same faction it represents. Like an Elven Sky Marhsal, Broken Bones, etc......
