If all new players were given 500 shards they could only spend on commons - rares with some suggested decks to make with these shards, and the ability to autoforge 1 of these decks, that would be great! Ok give all the new players the chance to auto forge a preselected deck with the choice of 1 from each faction, preferably an easy theme. These auto forged decks could be unshardable to avoid abuse... Make the decks 500 - 1,000 shards worth, and make them an easy theme like Voil, Barbs/construct or Draksar... Poeple would still invest in the game, as peeps who chose the Draksar deck would want the new Valdaci Bolter, Dragon Engine and Draksar Shifter... This could work really well, as if some1 chose Voil they could get 500 shards from breaking the rare league and then forge a Voil Courier then forge a second when they broke the Legendary League...
