Trying the daily skirmish with the Winter's Grip public deck. This is my least favorite deck out of the current public deck. It seems to me the troops are just lower cost and less damage then my opponent. Damage over time and Ice Shard upping my frost damage is neat and all, but I don't think I am going to beat anyone with my 3 troops vs thier 5 on turn 3. I am noob though, so maybe I don't get the strategy. Can you beat the daily skirmish with it? Any tricks to it? Video?
That said, FW usually fairs better in standard skirmishes and daily quests compared to other general-purpose faction decks. If you are having trouble with them, consider using the FW start, if available.
