Every faction gets one, but what is the story behind them? Where did they come from and if they are supposed to be there just to bring the end to all life, why did they take sides?
They were apparently the messengers that Serkan sent out to let everyone know that he was coming back. This was right around the time that Serkan became an actual rune.
Was right after the Angels. Everyone used Angels. Doomies had Hunter: Angel. That amd Serkan was back.
But lore wise, of the were just messengers to tell everyone serkan was back, why would they assist the other factions in battle instead of being a solely fw rune?
This is what I understand them to be: Originally, there was this one piece of art, the blue one. And it was supposed to be used as a campaign boss. Then someone said, "just recolor it and make it into a series we can sell."
Odd. Don't get me wrong, I love the doom bringers. It assures that all races have atleast one answer to major threats and I personally just like the design. The lore just seems a bit muddy
One of the things to realize is that early on in Pox, they actually purchased in bulk people's artwork - for example, much of Kelly Hamilton's work was bought in bulk - things she had already done previously not specifically for Pox. This is cheaper than buying custom work, but it does mean that the artist's designs had a lot of influence over the early rune designs.
Now a days, an artist is lucky to be paid at all I feel. similar to being a game designer without knowing how to code xD
Mostly around 400 to 500 Some older artists who we don't use anymore now charges ~1000, which is why we don't use them, lol
Wow. For a Legendary or Exotic, I guess that might be an acceptable price. Not sure about Common/Uncommon runes. Or do you view it as a package deal: so many dollars for all expansion artwork?
I am curious; how does a decision-making process work when you are choosing which runes/artworks will be Common, Uncommon, Rare, etc.? Do Legendary and Exotic runes/artworks need to have some special attributes?
