Some people hold certain truths to be 'self evident'. The implication being that they do not require proofs. In such a case, when someone challenges a truth that should be self evident, one has no recourse other than to call him a noob.
I try to point out logical flaws in peoples' arguments IRL, but they simply walk away in a huff, making my entire point a waste of time. I find this to be much easier on the internet, since for some reason people are less willing to let things go (i.e. they are more hostile, aggressive, and stubborn than they would be IRL).
