svt is swedish national television, cant read about any one shot, just hurt policeofficers from stones and bottles, it did start after they arrested a person in that area.

So maybe not no-go zones, but it feels bad when the police has to retreat and wait so long until its calm or they have enough backup to go into the area, hope the stores and car owners had good insurances.

I don't know about Swedish police tactics but generally when police retreats it is to lure rioters into an encirclement or to stretch them out so they can confront the smaller groups that form.

occasionally a charge to form a squeeze where you basically completely box in a large group except a small opening which you control tightly, but that tactic is controversial because you can trap bystanders and people can get hurt in a crush.

if they literally retreated and stayed out of the area for 1 to 2 hours that is just bad, but I cannot read/translate that language well enough so I will have to rely on you Hiero, who was protesting?

Reading through google translate the first source seems to suggest that a few stones were thrown during the arrest and then the police left with the person they arested and it turned into a riot in the hours aafter then later the police came back to stop the riot. so that would be less drastic than what you suggested.

I might read the second source tomorrow.

 

Today it looks like media was bored and made a huge newstory of just some thrown stones, police open fire, burnt cars and looted stores, i was tired and just posted it since the topic was kinda new here.

Except that the guy hasn't been in Sweden in years and has never been an official in Sweden. Only on Fox News. That story about the Trump entourage reinforcing and safe spacing Trump when he's feeling down is starting to make a lot more sense now.

 

Yeah this is just a greedy chap seeing a good chance of getting some credit and making fast money, didnt actually see the story with him, just read about it today in multiple news media.
He has maybe some sort of consult/security firms in USA, not confirmed if they did actually exists?
Its sad that Fox News cant doublecheck if the one they are interviewing has any worthy credential


Did also read that Carl Bildt, former prime minister of sweden, did write some for washington post to correct Trump and the leaders for the SD-party.
But if you are going to correct people, please do it with correct numbers, its very embarressing to read make up numbers from a former prime minister of sweden.

he says 17% of swedish population is from finland, its 2% or if you are suddenly allowed to include grandparets origin its around 4%
total immigrants are around 18% now compaired to 6% when he was primeminister in the 90's
he says when he was prime minister hundredthousands did come from bosnia, it was 70.000 arriving of 34602 was allowed to stay
compared to the 1.8M that has come the last 10/12years, its kinda silly talking about those 34000 are integrating well now after 20-25years.
and i think its a little difference between culture and education compaired to somalia/iraq/etopia/afganistan/syria and bosnia
