What combo, rune or battlegroup had a typical "five minutes of fame" before the sledgehammer came down?


I remember draksar bookburner pretty much stopping your opponent from casting spells forever. It was glorious

Constructs with remote controll was pretty boonkers

 

Oozking Slag before he was nerfed. Great times...

 

High Warlock when he was able to use Cast: Repurpose on enemy champions who was Possesed(via ability or Domi)

 

Recently, when sacrifice and retribution worked on Polluted Martyr before he received bloodless, I did some fun stuff with that.

 

TOB + soulthrister. pretty devastating set

 

Pfft. In my day you could drown Shrines. AmIdoinitright?

 

Oh and I forget about my favorite combo. Grimlic Treachery in 2v2.

Old school G'hern Thrower + Mogga Sapper + implant

 

I liked feeding a shrine to the fishes more

 

Firk Botanist + Dragon Claw springs to mind. There were certainly other aspects to that annoying SL/FS bg, but that is the one I always recall with the most loathing.

 

Mimic + tasty morsel.

 

Tower of Amareth + Distracted Magic Nova

 

Oh, I did remember the joy of that one.
