I noticed that, I'm not sure whether a heavily politically themed Off Topic is better or worse than the 'LolzRandomStuff' Off Topic I remember. I mean, it's more relevant to day to day life, but I imagine the flame wars and trolling that spawn from it are more vehement.
it's harder to tell when people are trolling now i can say that flaming is dead easy, though, and for the most part it doesn't happen (/it's the same few people pretty much every time). levels of passive aggression have i think also risen substantially

Working on it, Dagdasaurus rex is in the pipeline You're right that I'm not a fan of it, I much prefer Skype. I tend to find voice in Discord is just too intermittently laggy for me, though again, ancient laptop. It's entirely possible that if I had something made this decade that I'd be more interested in it. Also, having just said that, fun fact! I found out that my laptop, made in 2004, was too new to run a piece of software I've been using for my Masters work.
