New rank icons?

I think with 'new' you mean 'the old octopi ones SOE butchered for no reason'.

Except for the highest ranked blue ones, the icons are soooo ugly.

I.. I remember the times where hammers, arrows, swords and many things with bubbles determined your rank..

 

I loved the sword icon.

 

And skulls, don't forget the skulls.

 

I don't want new rank icons.

I want the old Octopi ones. The skulls, the swords - The blue diamonds for top 25. Those need to make a return.

 

I concur. Faction specific rank icons could be pretty nifty too.

Well yeah, I ment the old rank icons but I do like the idea of faction specific ones. How that would be determined would be by "my faction" or most accrued.

 

Make this happen! Also the faction representatives page? The one where the top faction representatives were displayed for each faction.. It was a nice way to know whom to go to for advice on game play

I do like the idea about faction specific icons, would be great I hope the Greenies take it into consideration.

 

Implement both and the player has the choice whether to show the faction specific rank or the global rank icon.

 

The old icons where much nice than the new ones SoE made.

- Aesthetics aside, they need to clearly pass info to the players at a glance. It should clear instantly what ballpark rank the person is by their icon. Now aesthetics... the current are ugly... and I think 2v2 rank icons should be shelved until a later date. 2v2 rank could be simply only displayed when hovering over a players name.
