It does 10 to the unit you just killed rather then closest enemy....so useful. Any other rituals bugged?
to rub salt into the wound (idiom) to make a difficult situation even worse for someone. example: first you sacrifice someone, then you rub salt into her or his wounds for 10 extra acid damage.
Unfortunate it's an order of operations issue that probably can't get fixed. cause of how deep that stuff goes in the code. But no other rituals target enemies so the rest of them work fine
Yes. Tested it with one of the witches (summon a skelly then kill it with ritual to strike across the map). Problem could be in the original design (was friendly only if I remember correctly).
Ok, so it sounds like it could just have a description change: "Target summoned champion within 3 spaces is destroyed. If you own the target, the nearest opposing champion takes 10 Acid damage." The alternative is to recode it, but I can see the problem with the ordering: the target can't die before it calculates which is the nearest enemy to it - but in this case it targets itself. I expect there are ways to get round this though, I wonder if the problem is that it is taking the map-square as the point to measure the nearest enemy from, rather than the target champ itself.
I had it work today. Destroyed (demonologist with ritual of destruction) a fesh from my opponent's mika and mika (or another enemy champ) got the damage.
