Corvidae are highly intelligent. they use tools and communication. I think ravens are agnostic to the point of atheism. they live as if there is no god, don't know if there is a god or not, and probably never considered the posibility of a god.
on a similar note to what sok's going on about, i recommend the book "Influence" (Robert Cialdini) to pretty much everyone. it reads a bit dated, but all of what's there is a decent starting off point
I like Jackdaws(kauw in dutch) they do quite well in suburbs, wherever there are a few trees and patches of grass. crows stick to treelines. and they are quite beautifull: you're not allowed to keep jackdaws caged since they are social group animals captivity literally kills them ( slowly trough stress and self harm). so like humans.
That's similar to the study that had a mirror next to a self serve candy dish. Kids took a lot less candy when the mirror was there.
