What happened to Vex?

I haven't played in a minute and I'm reading the flavor text for some of the Bonds of War runes and some of them mention that Vex is MIA. What did you clowns do with Vex while I was gone?

 

We don't know.

All we know is that she's gone.

 

I'm just a demented clown but aren't all the heros MIA? A meeting of world leaders perhaps? again, just a clown.

 

A Dwarven "raiding" party ambushed her one night while she was walking home from dance class. She decided to take a shortcut through a dark alley; needless to say, many bodily fluids were spilled.

 

Copious amounts of dorf blood? That does sound rather unpleasant.
