Not really into the whole mud slinging contest. First my opinion doesn't matter because i'm white, now my black friends and family opinions doesn't matter because you said so. Do you not see why it gets frustrating talking to you guys, you live in like some sort of bubble where you can only hear your opinions. Black lives matter movement is a travesty, so far they have accomplished nothing but loot and burn buildings down. The majority of realistic people laugh at it or group it in with a small terrorist group. Martin Luther King is rolling over in his grave at what they have turned this "movement" into. Peaceful protesting is one thing, protesting to start violence and commit arson is another. Their have been numerous videos of African Americans questioning the motives of the black lives matter movement and asking them why they are protesting, most of the time it's because "racism".

I'm all for peaceful protest and if I actually believed it was for the good of the African American community i'd be out there marching with them, sorry I can't promote black on white violence, arson, looting, racism, and just outright hatred.

You saying you have meant people in real life who deny the Holocaust is just like me saying my family disagrees with the blm movement, literally the same thing your going form personal experience as am I but your denying mine for whatever reason and i'm not denying yours. I grew up in a pre dominantly black neighborhood, majority of my friends are African American and half my family is African Ameircan.

why would that be if black and whites are hired at the same rate, seems rather dumb, doesn't it. Sure there are more white people in America than people of color, but surely some people of color must be able to "work hard enough" to earn a spot in your regular workplace.

Or do you truly believe that capitalism would love to shoot itself in the foot that hard that they would constantly hire garbage employees just for the sake of keeping people happy? Capitalism is currently go ham over ancient indian burial grounds just to get oil to it's refinaries more efficiently and you think they'd screw themselves over nationwide?

We have that in common then. I lived in 99% black neighborhood until I was 12 or 13, rent was $75 dollars, and I went to underfunded schools with old textbooks and old computers (and not enough of them), and probably 80-85% of my peers were black. Moved to a bigger city(Savannah) in the same state (Georgia), still predominately black, poor schools, lived there until I moved to Oregon at 16. Schools are 100% better here, and it's partially because of White Privilege.

At any given poverty level, districts that have a higher proportion of white students get substantially higher funding than districts that have more minority students.

I have listened to what you have to say with your personal experience, and while I can tell you are not a racist, you are very ignorant. That is not to say you are not intelligent, but you are very ignorant if you genuinely think White Privilege is not real.

 

Did you know 75% of statistics are made up on the spot? Seriously though, you just live in your own world.

You just dismiss all the inventions and philosophy from non-whites like it's only 10% of the world. And even if white people invented 90% of everything, that would only happen if white people enslaved all other civilizations and claimed credit for the patents from their non-white slaves. That actually happened with the patent for the Steam Engine, a black slave invented that.

Do you have any family or friends that use a pacemaker? Do you have any friends or family that needed a cataract lenses removed to prevent blindness?

Do you value the lives of police, firemen, and soldiers? If anyone you know has ever used a gas mask to save their life or another's, then you have a black man to thank for that invention.

fwiw, i tend to think of white privilege as another way to say "if you're white, you're luckier than if you're black". any benefit your color may provide you with is only in relation to what a nearly identical situation would look like (or rather, tends to look like). i think privilege as a concept gets overdone, and that anyone asking you to seriously apologize for what you were born with should probably be taken out back and shot, but that much is true- statistically, anecdotally, whatever you might wanna go with, being black is not as good as being white in this country. (it's not as simple as black and white, i'm told we have a few other colors in the mix, but you get what i'm saying)

i'm sure there are extremist dingbats that take it too far, but i'd be surprised if even close to the majority of the black community wanted me to personally apologize for the actions of my ancestors (who weren't particularly well off, but were likely involved in klannish activities a few generations back)
